Cute hotel right in the center of Old San Juan

Old San Juan Great location, helpful staff. Had a wonderful time. They have an agreement with parking garage around the corner for great reduced rate. Unfortunately elevator broke over weekend while we were there, which they worked to fix as soon as they could get the part (weekend). Life happens, they responded reasonably. A beautiful spot in a beautiful city with impeccable service. As with most of Old San Juan, uneven surfaces make it less desirable for people with instability or other mobility issues. But for the more able, this is the perfect place to stay in OSJ. Cool decor, intriguing artwork, fountain in the courtyard, fabulous 2nd floor roof terrace. We commandeered the breakfast room one evening with a takeout dinner, a bottle of rum, pineapple juice, coconut milk, and very high spirits. The delightful staff kept us well supplied with ice. A terrific if slightly hazy memory.

Miguel at check in was very friendly and helpful. We arrived hours before Check in, they held our bags allowed use of rooftop and hotel facilities. Recommended great dining options. Room was met nice and cool, which was great after being out walking around. Bed comfortable, nice balcony. Will definitely stay again! Relaxing Oasis in the Heart of Old San Juan Everyone at the front desk from check in to check out was fantastic. A lot of suggestions on where to go for great food, amazing beaches, and how to get around the island. The rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable, and the location can't be beat. While there is some construction happening at the hotel, it did not impact our stay, and the noise was minimal. I am happy to see they are expanding, and a new full service restaurant and bar is coming with the expansion. Would definitely recommend CasaBlanca to the single or couples travelers as it is a great oasis of relaxation away from the crowds of cruise families in Old San Juan. Beautiful decor and architecture. Warm, friendly staff. Excellent location. Definitely get a room with a balcony if you can. It's an old building that does show some wear and tear structurally, but that's to be expected with a building of this age and in that climate. It was a wonderful experience. We checked in 3/12/2019 at the hotel I must say that the young man that helped us did a great job accommodating us , considering the reservation wasn't what I wanted ! ( I booked through booking .com by mistake ) as I usually go directly through the hotel website anytime I book a reservation!
The room we had was great all the comforts of home , the staff was great very accommodating and the breakfast in the morning very nicely done ! On our last day they called us a cab to the airport it was so nice it just made it easier for our trip ! I would recommend Villa Herencia Hotel to anyone traveling to Old San Juan thank you for the wonderful stay at your beautiful hotel we will definitely stay again

Great for weekend getaways for couples One of the most beautiful, independent boutique hotels in Old San Juan. Highly recommend to travelers with allergies, as most rooms do not have that mustiness which is typical of the older buildings. We stayed on third floor room and had no allergy problems. However one room on the forth floor which we almost stayed in, smelled musty. Great, friendly service. Tasteful decor. Rooms are a bit small, but it’s ok for a couple for 1-2 nights. Had a 3 night stay. We wanted a boutique hotel right in the heart of Old San Juan ans it delivered.. Lobby is well appointed and matches the vibe of the area. Our room was exactly what we expected and was well maintained. All the staff was very helpful and friendly.. Miguel is a great employee and he was always helpful and a genuine friendliness about him. We will return.

Immaculate Beautiful hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. The cleanliness of our rooms really stood out. Our first stay was a huge room with a sitting area. (See picture.). We had to carry our luggage up stairs though to get to it. The second stay (a week after we came back from our cruise) provided a very small room which was hard to maneuver around 5 pieces of luggage. We were able to use the elevator to access our room then though. Staff was helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze. We were able to drop off our luggage until check-in in a small room off the lobby which was great for our timing.

We had last minute travel changes thanks to Hurricane Dorian. Thankfully, with the help of my in-laws, we were able to get a reservation at this adorable boutique hotel. From the moment we entered and waited to check-in at the desk, my husband and I fell in love with this business. The art is funky and eclectic while instilling a "get to know your fellow travelers in the lobby" kind of vibe. The front desk staff we interacted with were both helpful and charming. Due to the impending storm during our stay, most of the local businesses were boarded up and closed our first day there. We were able to find a few restaurants that were open, all of which were slammed with a constant flow of customers but unfortunately were not able to find a supermarket open by afternoon. The man at the front desk was quick to run around (in the rain) to find out which bodegas were still open. We were not expecting this service but were extremely pleased and he was able to point out exactly where they were on the map available at the front desk. The tubs on the roof were lovely, albeit a bit cold after being rained on all day. All in all, we loved their hospitality and have already discussed returning to Old San Juan and staying here on future Caribbean trips.

Casa Villa Independence Boutique Inexpensive beautiful spacious decorated rooms with friendly English speaking staff that goes all the way to make your stay comfortable. Special mentioned to both Shierlyn & Eliza who makes you feel at home with their warm hospitality. A must try if you are travelling to PP for the first time.

My husband and I I were visiting old San Juan last week and I booked a room at the Casablanca based on the good reviews. We really enjoyed staying here. It's in a really good location right near the forts and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. We were especially satisfied with the quality of customer service we received. All the staff we dealt with at the Casablanca were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area and you can tell they genuinely cared about the hotel and it's guests. My husband and I got a chance to chat a little bit with the manager Cinthia and two of the other hotel employees Alex and Mark and each one of them took the time to become acquainted with us and make themselves available if we needed help with anything.

PROS: The staff was very friendly and laid back. We were not hassled in the hotel what so ever. The common areas and our room was super clean. It is an old building, so you can expect that, but a lot of charm and unique furnishings. Our seperate but combined room was perfect for our family of 4. The kids had their own space and my husband and I had ours. A lot of close restaurants/bars in walking distance. CONS: Not huge deals, but there was no TV in the kids/twin bed room. The bathroom light was a combined fan, which is fine but a bit noisy and even with the fan going, it doesn't keep the bathroom from getting fogged over when taking a shower. However, it is PR and already humid...so can't really expect much there. The shower could of been a bit more updated. And, the top of the building w/ the bathes was outdated in my opionion. It is a great view up there, but there were too many smokers, which kep us from really enjoying that area. Overall - I would reccomend staying there if you were visiting San Juan! This place is sooo nice and really is a beautiful hotel! What's even better is that the whole staff was Super friendly and very courteous! Miguel and Marc went above and beyond to really make our stay there very enjoyable and memorable. We definitely would stay there again the next time we are in Old San Juan!!

One night pre-cruise Stayed here one night before our Carnival Fascination cruise. We had a small interior room. It's an old hotel but clean and well-maintained. Great location for exploring Old San Juan. We were able to walk with our luggage down to the cruise port (about 3 blocks). Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. They even offered to store our bags for a few hours after our cruise since we had a late flight.

Most of all personalized services, great staff, helpful and willing to take care of all your needs on your visit to Puerto Rico. This is what you want. Because you are not going to do more than sleep in a hotel in Old San Juan. I loved it, my grandkids loved it and I will return.
