We stayed here after our cruise for a few days Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean but only complaint is the beds need updating. Matress was not comfortable. Dont expect a Hilton as this is like a European hotel. Our room didn have a window but if you can ask for one that faces the front of the main street which has a balcony. I love this hotel!! We stayed on the first floor in a suite. It was such a cute hotel and just like the pictures online. The staff is friendly, warm and super helpful. Located in the heart of old San Juan, the location couldn’t be better. You can walk to eat, drink, tour the city, etc. The hotel has expanded and has more rooms now, about 20 additional plus an elevator was put in a couple of years ago! We will stay in Casa Blanca on our next trip!!! Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

An excellent stop in Old San Juan ! Arrival at the Casablanca Hotel we were greeted by Kyo and later by Miguel they were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to help not only our party but other guests as well.
Denny made sure that we were not thirsty with his refreshing guava mimosas and other drinks. Our day started with freshly brewed coffee and a selection of food items which were customized. Our daily visits to the bar and restaurant were very satisfactory ! Denny and his staff, Francisco, Alondra and Christian provided outstanding service and a relaxed atmosphere. When leaving on our cruise we were so happy to have chosen the Casablanca Hotel and would definitely come back to visit ! Thank you guys for a memorable stay ! More

I really can't for the life of me find anything to complain about with the CasaBlanca. When we checked in, we were greeted by the friendliest and most helpful individual. When I expressed disappointment that we didn't get the room with a view we had requested upon reservation, he promptly swapped our reservation for a 5th floor room next to a lobby with a crystal clear view of El Morro. Each room is uniquely and individually appointed, and you never get the same environment or decor twice. From the pictures, you can gather that some rooms are more luxurious than others, but all are impeccably clean, fun, and lovely.

We waffled and waffled about this decision between the Mosaic Art Suites, CasaBlanca, and El Convento, and I'm so pleased we chose CasaBlanca. The location is unbeatable, the rooftop views (and tubs -- you simply MUST give them a try....we totally fell asleep in them) are breathtaking, and the hotel itself is just super, super cool. Side note: they installed a lovely glass elevator last month, so stairs should no longer be a deterrent for less mobile patrons.

Here's my only complaint: if you're like us and rented a car in order to get to El Yunque rainforest, parking is a B-I-T-C-H (seriously). Via many online recommendations, we mostly parked in Dona Fela, but found that an even better option is the Covadonga Parking Garage down the street for a better price (but it's only open to the public at certain times). Make sure you always have cash if you're going to opt for a car and thus the Old San Juan parking garage experience.

Great for weekend getaways for couples One of the most beautiful, independent boutique hotels in Old San Juan. Highly recommend to travelers with allergies, as most rooms do not have that mustiness which is typical of the older buildings. We stayed on third floor room and had no allergy problems. However one room on the forth floor which we almost stayed in, smelled musty. Great, friendly service. Tasteful decor. Rooms are a bit small, but it’s ok for a couple for 1-2 nights. This hotel looked straight out of HGTV. The decor is beautiful. You can't go wrong here, especially for the price. Our room was small, but, it didn't bother us. It looked exceptionally clean. The soaking tubs on the roof are a great amenity. The staff was awesome. Location is great. Great place to stay while in Old San Juan.

Awesome hotel! A small boutique style hotel with a local feel right in the middle of Old San Juan. The cafe is open from 8am-1pm and serves really delicious food. The roof top has 3 hot tubs and a small seating area. If available, ask to stay on a top floor room. The rooms on the bottom floor especially near the elevator are extremely noisy.

This is a very quaint hotel, centrally located to food, entertainment and shopping in Old San Juan. The staff was friendly and the their service extends beyond just your stay! We were able to leave our bags after checkout and stop in to use the restroom and rooftop lounge when we returned from our cruise.
It is within walking distance to one cruise port, but not the other, so check your port location if you're staying here for a cruise. This location isn't ideal if you plan to stay in the hotel all day, it's small with not a lot of amenities, but there were just enough to make the experience memorable. We'll be back!

Boutique hotel modeled after the movie w. Bogart. Clean, super friendly, in the middle of Old San Juan. October off season, great rates(can score upgrades). Jacuzzis on the Roof! Cafe in lobby(great food, Open to 1pm, thank God) separate entity with tiny mezzanine bar(super cozy intimate booths). Pricey, but this is a tourist area, the surrounding places even worse. The hotel is great, the location is a challenge for the disabled, as all ancient construction of old world towns everywhere in the world. No parking or stopping in front. Discount parking lot(which you want!, call the hotel ahead to set up, BIG discount!) two blocks away.

Nice small boutique like hotel. Very artsy. No pool or workout rooms like the chain hotels. Off one of the Rick streets in old San Juan. Walking distance to both Castillo Cristobal and the other. Not really any parking unless you park on the street. Semi private jacuzzi on the rooftop and sitting/smoking area. The decor is beautiful. Price is reasonable. Customer service is good. You need a negative CoVid test or vaccine to enter.

The CasaBlanca Hotel is magical. A week after getting home, I am still thinking about how beautiful it is and how kind the staff were to my mother. She has been taking Spanish classes in retirement and had so much fun testing her communication skills with the hotel employees -- especially the housekeeping staff. Staying here made our trip to Old San Juan very special. As mentioned in another review, if a large room size, strong water pressure, fast elevator, and luxury are important to you, then a chain hotel is probably a better fit. If you're less picky about that stuff, and you want a bit of magic, then the CasaBlanca Hotel is perfect.

We stayed here for 2 night of a 2 week vacation and it was perfect for our purposes. Room was ok. The TV didn't work but overall the room was clean and comfortable. We hung out on the rooftop a little bit but didn't use the hot tubs. The breakfast from the restaurant was good. We had good service from the wait staff and the front desk. Excellent location for exploring old San Juan. We enjoyed our stay. Worth the price.

Lil piece of heaven Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted. We were allowed to leave our luggage with the front desk since we arrived early and could not check in yet. So, we took advantage and went about sightseeing old San Juan. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated in town to go and see everything. Our room (a suite) was classic and clean. Cannot beat the location, price and service. Will definitely be back! Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

We had last minute travel changes thanks to Hurricane Dorian. Thankfully, with the help of my in-laws, we were able to get a reservation at this adorable boutique hotel. From the moment we entered and waited to check-in at the desk, my husband and I fell in love with this business. The art is funky and eclectic while instilling a "get to know your fellow travelers in the lobby" kind of vibe. The front desk staff we interacted with were both helpful and charming. Due to the impending storm during our stay, most of the local businesses were boarded up and closed our first day there. We were able to find a few restaurants that were open, all of which were slammed with a constant flow of customers but unfortunately were not able to find a supermarket open by afternoon. The man at the front desk was quick to run around (in the rain) to find out which bodegas were still open. We were not expecting this service but were extremely pleased and he was able to point out exactly where they were on the map available at the front desk. The tubs on the roof were lovely, albeit a bit cold after being rained on all day. All in all, we loved their hospitality and have already discussed returning to Old San Juan and staying here on future Caribbean trips.

Charming, great location! Adorable hotel. Great staff. Perfect location for walking. Would definitely book again. This is a unique, boutique hotel with tons of charm. If you’re looking for an authentic place to stay this is it. If you’re looking for a standard chain hotel look and feel, this is not it.

Cute, small boutique hotel in Old San Juan The hotel is nicely decorated and it offers all the main things you need for a pleasant stay. Conveniently located in the heart of Old San Juan and close enough to the main parking lot. This is our second stay at Casablanca Hotel and the highlight of our stay is always the staff, particularly MIGUEL is the coolest, hippest, friendliest and helpful, receptionist. Since my first call, he was able to address my concerns politely and effectively without losing the human touch. While at the hotel, he always offered great restaurant and bar recommendations and provided a great authentic and honest smile.
