This hotel was a gem in the heart of Old San Juan. I would love to come back and just stay here for a weekend and enjoy more of the bathtubs up on their rooftop.
Their front desk attendants are the BEST! Miguel is always so kind and helpful with recommendations of local food spots.
Near the hotel you have so many bars and a quick walk takes you to the port where all the cruises dock. Right next to hem you can find a ferry which is only .50 cents per way/per person which takes you to the Bacardi factory (a must do in Puerto Rico)
Also I love the rooms. The beds are very comfortable, cozy and great for a good night sleep. The decoration is jaw dropping... again I can stay here for a little longer. The bathrooms are well equipped and if you need a hair dryer or steamer than you can request one with your personalized room tablet. So convenient! You ale your request and one do the kind front desk guys will come up and bring over to you.
I honestly could have not chosen a better hotel. I was so happy with our stay that I am sad to leave!

Love it! Loved Old San Juan and Casablanca is right smack dab in the middle. Miquel at the front desk was amazing in helping us find beaches and restaurants. The lobby looks like something out of the movie (which is playing) I would recommend this place for couples. Nothing to do for kids (no pool) And be sure your room has a window. We moved to 5F and it was a great room. Not any amazing view but that's what walking around is for, right?? Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

We loved this hotel and the staff was nice. They have a cool rooftop terrace and the bed was comfy. Only downside was the elevator being out of commission for repairs. But I would definitely recommend this spot for the charm, location, etc. Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

Great place to stay in Old San Juan The CasaBlanca Hotel is a quaint eclectic boutique hotel. Famous for their rooftop bath tubs. Rooms are small as in most old downtown hotels. Facility was clean and staff was great. Old San Juan is fun to explore but beware driving and parking in the area can be difficult and is paid parking everywhere. Lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

Treat yourself to this friendly, elegant hotel. The ceilings are high, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and antique furnishings and original artwork make you feel that you are visiting the home of a refined friend. The upstairs garden, complete with bathtubs, a hammock, and flowers, is a fun spot to relax. Breakfast is included, served in the dining room on silver trays with Puerto Rican coffee, tea and pineapple juice. You will be glad you chose this romantic, luxurious hotel for your stay in Old San Juan.

We had last minute travel changes thanks to Hurricane Dorian. Thankfully, with the help of my in-laws, we were able to get a reservation at this adorable boutique hotel. From the moment we entered and waited to check-in at the desk, my husband and I fell in love with this business. The art is funky and eclectic while instilling a "get to know your fellow travelers in the lobby" kind of vibe. The front desk staff we interacted with were both helpful and charming. Due to the impending storm during our stay, most of the local businesses were boarded up and closed our first day there. We were able to find a few restaurants that were open, all of which were slammed with a constant flow of customers but unfortunately were not able to find a supermarket open by afternoon. The man at the front desk was quick to run around (in the rain) to find out which bodegas were still open. We were not expecting this service but were extremely pleased and he was able to point out exactly where they were on the map available at the front desk. The tubs on the roof were lovely, albeit a bit cold after being rained on all day. All in all, we loved their hospitality and have already discussed returning to Old San Juan and staying here on future Caribbean trips.

Love this Hotel We've stayed here twice and really love it! The staff is wonderful and very helpful with anything that you would need. The rooms are smaller but very comfortable and nicely decorated. They have a restaurant on site which is also very good, opened from 8am to 1pm (breakfast and lunch only).

Best hotel in Old San Juan. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, bed comfortable, water pressure was prefect and they had hot water. The staff was super kind and attentive, we had an issue with the tv but they fixed the problem quickly. The location is amazing it is in the center of everything. We walked to restaurants and to El Morro, all walking distance. Since this is still during covid there weren’t many people out on the streets making noises. Also the rooms are sound proof! My Family and I absolutely loved Casa Blanca. It's interior is very cool and unique. It has kind of a Boho/Moroccan feel. The locarion is perfect for walking just about anywhere in Old San Juan. Jorge works the front desk and he is really nice , super helpful and went the extra mile to accomidated us. The roof top tubs were also really neat. My girla got a kick out of them. The only down side is that being in the heart of Old San Juan, there was no hotel parking. We parked a couple blocks away and it was an easy walk. I would easily stay here again Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Stayed for 4 nights this past January. Had a fantastic stay. I spent a long time comparison shopping hotels in the Old San Juan area and I can confidently say that Villa Herencia is probably the best value available. Here is what I loved:
Pros: Beautiful building, courtyard and roof - great way to relax if you don't want to sit in your room all day. Fantastic location. Walking distance to restaurants and historical sites. Friendly staff. Free continental breakfast. Clean room with windows facing the courtyard. Each room has an individual bathroom.
Cons (hardly worth mentioning): room was small, but I didn't spend much time there anyway, so who cares? Dim lighting. Not worth knocking off a star for either of these.

So glad we chose the CasaBlanca hotel. Immediately we got hit with a beautiful front desk area and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We booked it as a pre and post cruise hotel because the it was in the center of everything and walking distance to the port. Both rooms were unique and very comfortable. The rooftop was perfect to unwind after a long day of walking. The staff gave fantastic suggestions about what to do and where to eat. Overall, beautiful hotel with great staff. Will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful, funky hotel in beautiful Old San Juan One night stay in a funky hotel close to the cruise ship port. Large rooms, cute little balcony, amazing decor, accommodating staff. Some noise around the hotel at night, but I’d stay again in a heartbeat. Beautiful Old San Juan. Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

Wonderful Hospitality After a horribly long day of travel and my Airbnb cancelling on me upon arrival and an awful experience at another hotel, I called CasaBlanca around 12:30am desperate for a place to sleep. Omar greeted me on the phone and provided parking information and room availability. He was understanding, professional, and friendly. Most of all he just seemed to actually care about my ordeal and was eager to turn that around! Upon arrival, they were very busy at the front desk, and Omar was still just as pleasant as he was on the phone. He checked me in quickly and was so friendly. For traveling by myself, the room is perfect for what I need. Clean, cold air conditioning, hot water, and very cute/artsy decorations. I work on the Las Vegas strip for 10 years in hospitality, and a special thank you Omar for making me feel welcomed and easing my troubles!

Experience graciousness in old San Juan Yes, this is an old hotel. We had a small room with no windows and a tiny bathroom located down an old hallway. But we also had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The rooftop deck has more than just the tubs. There are covered sections with outdoor sofas and sun drenched areas with loungers, chairs, or a daybed. It’s the perfect place to relax if your room feels too small.
The location is close to lots of shops, bars, and restaurants (try Trois cent onze just a few doors down) and NOT at the bottom of a hill so it’s mostly level walking. The staff was helpful, gracious, and enthusiastic. If you get breakfast here, share with someone. The portions are massive.
This is my new “go to” hotel in San Juan. It’s got location, personality, and customer-friendly outdoor spaces. If I wanted something generic, I’d travel to Ohio. This is a perfect place to experience San Juan. More

My husband and I I were visiting old San Juan last week and I booked a room at the Casablanca based on the good reviews. We really enjoyed staying here. It's in a really good location right near the forts and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. We were especially satisfied with the quality of customer service we received. All the staff we dealt with at the Casablanca were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area and you can tell they genuinely cared about the hotel and it's guests. My husband and I got a chance to chat a little bit with the manager Cinthia and two of the other hotel employees Alex and Mark and each one of them took the time to become acquainted with us and make themselves available if we needed help with anything.
