The CasaBlanca Hotel is magical. A week after getting home, I am still thinking about how beautiful it is and how kind the staff were to my mother. She has been taking Spanish classes in retirement and had so much fun testing her communication skills with the hotel employees -- especially the housekeeping staff. Staying here made our trip to Old San Juan very special. As mentioned in another review, if a large room size, strong water pressure, fast elevator, and luxury are important to you, then a chain hotel is probably a better fit. If you're less picky about that stuff, and you want a bit of magic, then the CasaBlanca Hotel is perfect.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room
Was cleaned each day, staff called for taxi when requested . AC worked. Only complaint was no working elevator but they put is on 2nd floor to help accommodate.
This hotel is ideally located in Old San Juan close to various restaurants and attractions

We were greeted by Miguel a very friendly, warm and helpful front desk receptionist. The hotel was perfect for our family stay. We stayed in a superior suite in the South tower which had two bed rooms and a quaint balcony. One room had a king bed and the other room had two twins. Beds were comfy. The hotel had a lot of character and was clean. The terrace had interesting tubs and lounge chairs but had a great view. It was centrally located with walking distance to lots of restaurants and historic sites. Parking was offsite with several options to choose from. We would definitely stay there again. My Family and I absolutely loved Casa Blanca. It's interior is very cool and unique. It has kind of a Boho/Moroccan feel. The locarion is perfect for walking just about anywhere in Old San Juan. Jorge works the front desk and he is really nice , super helpful and went the extra mile to accomidated us. The roof top tubs were also really neat. My girla got a kick out of them. The only down side is that being in the heart of Old San Juan, there was no hotel parking. We parked a couple blocks away and it was an easy walk. I would easily stay here again Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Great location and hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful! The room was slightly smaller than expected but we were out most of the day anyway. It was clean and had everything you needed. The rooftop baths were also a great feature! Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

On a street that puts you in a very good location to go out and walk around to see San Juan. The city also provides free jeep rides when you can catch one to see El Morro and other sites of interest. People were kind, friendly and glad to show you how to get to whatever you wanted to see. Casablanca didn't have their elevator working when we arrived but it was fixed and they are making more improvements to the hotel. The staff was great toward us and patient with everyone checking in and going out. The atmosphere of the hotel we really loved! Cozy and beautiful! CasaBlanca Hotel made our vacation in Old San Juan feel less like a visit and more like we had lived in the area for years. Its location in the center of the city made everything within walking distance, from top restaurants to bars to historic places to visit. The room was quaint and cozy and the decor in the lobby was so quirky and eclectic. The front desk was helpful and gave us recommendations on places to see, food to eat, and bars to stop by at. There is no doubt I'll recommend this hotel to friends and family if they ever visit PR!

We came for breakfast in the lobby, and it was lovely. Hector was pleasant, courteous and attentive to my food allergies. We ordered two omelettes, a fruit bowl and coffee. I am not a frequent coffee drinker - this was the best coffee I've had.
The eggs came with a version of home fries that are better than, but closely related to potato chips. The fruit mix was fresh and had papaya. Recommended for ambiance, good food and nice staff.

CasaBlanca had great service! We encountered 3 front desk staff members throughout our stay that were phenomenal! From greeting us upon arrival, grabbing our luggage, recommending what to do in Old San Juan to calling us a cab for our early flight (when Uber wasn't available). The premises and rooms were clean and very comfortable and we cannot wait to stay at CasaBlanca again! Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities

Great find. Miguel at the front desk is amazing. We stayed 2 days before leaving for a cruise then a day after. He remembered us after a week. Be sure to ask for a room with a window. 5F is quite nice however 2I not so much. Hotel is in the heart of old San Juan. Every thing is walkable, except the Pan America cruise terminal but taxis are regulated so $15-20 will get you there. For $7 you can tour the castle (El Morro) and the fort (San Cristobol) Best mofongo is at Raice's 2 blocks down towards the waterfront. ENJOY Old San Juan. Its a treasure and Casablanca lies in the heart of it all! Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

The hotel is in a good location to walk all of Old San Juan. Every staff member we met was friendly and extremely helpful. We forgot a pair of glasses in our room. The hotel contacted us while we we’re traveling back home and has promised to send the glasses back to us via UPS. That’s excellent service! If you are expecting the Ritz, this is not it. What this hotel is, is purely authentic old town San Juan. From the moment you enter you will go back in time and feel like it's 1900, but with excellent air conditioning. Each room we saw was well appointed and the artwork is great. We had room H9 which was upstairs and opened up onto the sun deck. We had easy access to the outdoor tubs, which seem cheesy, but after a long day of walking and sweating are the perfect way to soak out the aches and enjoy a beer. The breakfast is nothing spectacular, but a couple of eggs, yoghurt, toast and coffee was enough to get me moving and I didn't have go looking. The hotel has an understated luxury that I found more alluring than a big named, box hotel. There will be cats on the terrace, you will hear the neighbors dogs bark, not ever surface is level and the furniture is period. The hotel marries modern with antique in a manner that keeps you comfortable, yet allows you to embrace the classic. If you are staying in the old city, stay here. It will really complete the experience.

This was a charming and quirky hotel with friendly staff. The room we stayed in was huge and roomy with comfortable beds, and a large, clean bathroom. The roof top terrace is beautiful! And the bathtubs on the roof offered such a cool and unique experience. I will always seek to stay at this hotel for the roof top bath tubs alone lol. So glad we chose the CasaBlanca hotel. Immediately we got hit with a beautiful front desk area and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We booked it as a pre and post cruise hotel because the it was in the center of everything and walking distance to the port. Both rooms were unique and very comfortable. The rooftop was perfect to unwind after a long day of walking. The staff gave fantastic suggestions about what to do and where to eat. Overall, beautiful hotel with great staff. Will definitely stay there again.

One night pre-cruise Stayed here one night before our Carnival Fascination cruise. We had a small interior room. It's an old hotel but clean and well-maintained. Great location for exploring Old San Juan. We were able to walk with our luggage down to the cruise port (about 3 blocks). Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. They even offered to store our bags for a few hours after our cruise since we had a late flight.
