The hotel itself was unique and (as told by the locals) one of the best in San Juan. The entire staff was super nice and helpful (especially Miguel). Everyone was happy/cheerful, and ready to help. Hotel is conveniently located too if your main interest is Old San Juan/San Juan in general. Lots of hidden good eats near by as well such as La Madre. Will definitely stay again! From being dropped off at the front door of Casablanca May 12 until we were picked up by taxi at 4 am on May 15, we were blown away at the friendliness of the staff and their eagerness to see to our every need and to ensure we felt at home for our stay. The lobby, dining area, rooftop spa and city viewing area were everything and more than expected from our preview of Casablanca prior to booking our stay. The room we stayed in was beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated following the theme of the hotel. We are definitely planning a return visit to Old San Juan and Casablanca will be our hotel of choice. Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Perfect central location for OSJ CasaBlanca hotel offers outstanding service and communication, a fantastic central location to be fully immersed in Old San Juan culture, nice clean rooms, and a fabulous rooftop hangout. The only downside of our experience was the shower being in the bedroom without a fan made for a very humid room. Overall great value and would stay again.

Central and fun Old San Juan hotel We stayed here for our two nights in Old San Juan. Great location, uber-friendly staff, comfy room with a balcony. The rooftop hot tub was a welcome addition. We didn't try the rooftop stone baths but they looked fun and unusual--and once again, another rooftop amenity. Plenty of restaurants nearby!

This place is really neat. I'm used to getting a lackluster room when I book last-minute through a third-party site, but even though I did that, I got an end room with windows on three sides and killer views. I'm a natural light fanatic, and this old building seems to have lots of windows (or at least translucent light shafts) wherever possible. (Speaking of light, the light fixtures in room are soft light, not garish florescents; though the room was a tad dark -- could have used another lamp.)
The decor is really well done. The Casablanca movie theme had the potential to be heavy-handed and gimmicky, but it doesn't feel that way -- rooms and common areas are done up in a stylish, vaguely Moroccan way (fans of the movie will appreciate the themed touches; those who don't care won't be annoyed by them). Our room had great built-in features (like a wooden desk with a view of the fort), wooden shutters, etc. and nice furnishings, bedding, etc.
Roof deck is sweet! Also, the higher-floor (3rd-5th?) rooms at the ends (like room numbers A and G) should have best views of the fort, as well as street (A) and port (G).
Staff was very friendly.
Everything in Old San Juan is very walkable, so the location is fine.
I really feel like we got a great value.

Old San Juan Charm The Casa Blanca Hotel is a charming historic hotel in a prime location in Old San Juan, close to restaurants and within walking distance of almost all of Old San Juan's landmarks and historic sites, as well as the port. The lobby decore (please see photos) is captivating, including a gorgeous chandelier and other fascinating accent pieces. My 5th floor room was cozy and charming as well, bordered by a walkway that allowed views of the historic streets. There was also a comfortable seating area, right outside my bedroom door, to relax and have coffee.
The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast, served near the wonderful lobby, was delicious.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place to stay in Old San Juan! More

Beautiful hotel in Old San Juan My husband and I spent the last night of our honeymoon here and it did not disappoint. First of all it's in the perfect location if you want to be able to walk to any restaurant/shop in Old San Juan. The hotel is beautifully decorated and styled and is clean. My only complaint would be the musty smell in our room, I suppose this is probably standard in any of the hotel rooms around the area though. Staff was extremely kind and helpful.

These guys are incredibly accommodating. We knew it was likely the hotel would not have AC after the hurricane and upon arrival were told they did not. They gave us a discount and made sure our every need was taken care of, had fans in the room, etc. Even carried our luggage up four flights with a smile.
My husband contacted them about our daughter's purse 3 days after leaving it at the hotel and they saved it for us for a week AND let us hang out at the hotel today while waiting on our flight.
Super friendly and the rooms (and building) are cool! The sunrise from the 6th floor rooftop is amazing!

Wonderful Hotel We stayed here a few days before our cruise. We wanted to explore Old San Juan. Located a few blocks from the cruise port=excellent.. We arrived and were greated by friendly staff. The bellhop helped us with our luggage. We stayed on the fourth floor two room Superior Suite with a balcony overlooking the street below. Great room indeed=kids loved having their own room and I loved the balcony. The rooftop lounge area was so relaxing. We'd sit up there watching the nightlife below. The lobby was very stunning. clean, modern, with Casablanca always playing. If you want a beautiful hotel in the heart of historic city)everything easy walk away) and one that is super close to cruise port==stay at this charming hotel.

Great location, great customer service LOCATION AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! This hotel is in a great location in Old San Juan--we are 60ish and not "fit" by any means but was able to walk to San Cristobel and around the fort and back, then rest and go out and walk around for a few more hours. Plenty of restaurants in the area, including one in the restaurant--breakfast was great, also a limited supper menu with plenty of food served. This is an older holder, so our room was rather small once we got two large and two small suitcases in, and the bathroom was small but all was very clean. What did set this hotel apart was the staff was amazing--not just one or two but every one we came in contact with for two days. Other than the smallish room and some signs of age, the rest of the hotel was charming and great. Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort

Great hotel in a great location A nice hotel with large rooms in a super location of Old San Juan. Although the room had no exterior windows, it did not feel stuffy. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, Castillo San Cristobal. The internet connection was good. We enjoyed the very funky bar in the hotel and the view from the rooftop. Check in and out was easy. We would choose this hotel again!

Clean and great location Miguel at the front desk treated us as if we were his only customer. Couldn’t ever get the tv in our room to work but - without us even asking - they offered a discount. This place is very clean and a very pleasant place to stay. The location is absolutely amazing. Just a couple of blocks from anything you want to do.

2 Nights pre-cruise My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights prior to our cruise. We were both very pleased with the level of service we received. Our flight arrived early on the 8th. Michael (night shift coordinator) was on duty when we arrived. He stored our luggage and suggested a great cafe to go have breakfast. When we returned Jorge the daytime service coordinator was on duty. For a very small fee we were able to have early check in as they had a room made up for us while we were at breakfast.
Other members of our group arrived later that afternoon, & Jorge made sure they knew where to find us.
The rooms are not large and amenities in the room are limited. That said, it is very clean & the staff was outstanding. We would definitely stay here again.

At first I was hesitant with booking the room due to other reviews I read but I decided to give it a chance due to location and price. When I arrived with my two minor children, we were given a warm welcomed by the staff. When we got to our room honestly, the room was not what we expected. I was not impressed much. it was very small and outdated, the AC wasnt working properly, and there was a safety concern I had since I was traveling with a 3 year old. When I addressed these matters to the staff, they immediately assisted me and gave me an upgraded room. We were very grateful. The room was beautiful, spacious, amazing. The location didn't have an elevator but it is not a reason to downgrade nor give a negative review especially since the staff have no control over that. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night. Even when we were checking out the next day, we were giving great service and even a helping hand to get our belongings on to our Taxi from the staff. I would stay here again in the future. If the staff or whom it may concern is reading this review I have two suggestions to make am even more plesant stay. Every hotel I have stayed in has had a mini fridge. I was very surprised to find out the rooms is this hotel don't. I believe this would be an amazing amenity to add. The rooftop has a great feature I've never seen anywhere else however the "tubs" either took too long to fill or would never fill up, not sure the reason. Other than that, amazing.
