Casablanca Hotel Celebra Inauguración De Su Nuevo Elevador
San Juan, PR The CasaBlanca Hotel located at 316 Fortress Street in Old San Juan celebrated the ribbon cutting of its long-awaited elevator. It is of Canton brand and shipped from North Canton, Ohio in the United States to Puerto Rico in parts. The design and assembly were carried out on the Island which brought more jobs for the Hotel and its team of engineers. It has a capacity for 12 passengers and complies with all regulations by law. After the toast, the guests at the inauguration were able to enjoy the elevator ride, delighting in its panoramic view towards San Cristobal Castle, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Old San Juan cruises.
“Before we had to accommodate our guests by floors according to their age and physical condition, placing those with limitations in the rooms on the first floors, now all guests can enjoy the views of the highest floors and the terrace. Without a doubt, this marks a new chapter for the experience of our guests at CasaBlanca. ” Hotel owner Rafael Oller said.
The process to carry out the elevator of the Boutique style Hotel was a very careful one, the design that respected and kept in tune with the architecture of the colonial building had to be chosen. In November 2014, studies began to design the hydraulic piston rope style elevator with panoramic views.
Among the guests at this great celebration were the engineers José G. Deyá and Hector Deyá of the company “Deyá Elevator Services” who gave themselves to the difficult task of completing this project “We believe that all projects are special and unique, with this particular , we had the opportunity to test our capabilities since the building is old and of diverse proportions, ”added Hector Deyá.
The administration is preparing to face a year full of new challenges, but it will not be due to the lack of an elevator, a situation in which many guests opted for other nearby hotels, “is that going up to the fifth floor by the stairs was not easy” said Joyce Oller, owner who for years appreciated the patience and willingness of her guests to the difficult task. The Hotel hopes to improve its annual occupancy rate now that it can be opened to new customers and hopes that this will help it overcome the decline in tourist demand due to the negative publicity the Island has received in the past months since January 2016.
The Hotel wishes to inform all residents of the Island that it offers a special welcome with a single rate of $ 199 for three days and two nights with taxes included between the months of May to September 2016. They must redeem this offer must send an email email to reservations@hotelcasablancapr.com .
